About The Project:

Walk in their shoes is an art and media project showcasing little known stories in history. Walk in their shoes has a physical loaction as well as virtual! The SPOT in wilson is featuring new art and soties everyy month on a new walking trail that circles the campus. The trail is an immersive experience where visitors can scan QR codes, view student art installments, and hear stories from the past. The QR codes link to podcasts, videos, and virtual experiences immersing you in the story as you walk. If you are local to Wilson, or are visiting the area we encourage you to check our open community hours! (coming soon!)

Not local to Wilson or cannot make it during the community hours? No problem! You can also access the content right here on the Walk In Their Shoes web page. New Content is uploaded approximately Monthly. You can enjoy podcasts, videos, and readings of the same content as well as photos of the stduent artwork.

All stories featured in this project reflect the diversity of Wilson and showcases minority stories not found in history books. We look forward to sharing history, art, and diversity with you.
